Hi Sarah,
We spoke on the phone a moment ago, please find details below.
I’d like to enquire about hiring Stavros Flatley for a special guest appearance in a theatre show on Saturday 25th July 2020.
I represent Spotlight Youth Theatre Company, a non-profit youth theatre company, with a talented group of young actors aged from 10-16. We’re looking to take our shows to the ‘next level’ with celebrity involvement and sincerely hope that you can help us take that step.
The details of the show are as follows:
Show date: 25th July 2020 (Both 1pm Matinee and 6pm Evening shows)
Show title and Running time: Happily Ever After (90 mins)
Cast size: 18 children, plus professional dance school performing additional background dances.
Venue: Princes Theatre, Clacton on Sea, Essex (800 seat capacity)
Previous show performance: Alice in Wonderland 517 seats sold.
Show synopsis: A mix and match of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales, featuring Cinderella, Rumplestiltskin, The Pied Piper, Rapunzel, The Evil Queen and others. Clean and fun family entertainment.
Participation requirement: 2 dances (similar in style to the BGT performances) in each show performed in both matinee and evening, plus a meet and greet after each show.
Character premise: The premise of your performance would be that the Evil Queen wishes to gain the Pied Piper's flute to have people follow her unconditionally. However, she can not play the magic flute correctly, as the Pied Piper explains, the music comes from your heart. As she starts to play the Stavros Flatley "Lord of the Dance" music plays instead and so the performance begins. The second dance would be a smaller snippet of the music, integrated into our show finale or bows sequence.
Rehearsals: One dress rehearsal, the morning of the show. An additional technical rehearsal the day before the show would be preferred, but is not necessary.
Flexibility: We are happy to work with you to incorporate your own ideas maximising the effectiveness of the performance you offer.
Additional notes: We will making a donation from any profits from the gate receipts to charity, and would also like to do the same to a charity of Stavros Flatley's choosing.
Any information you could provide in relation to the details above would be appreciated, in addition to costing and terms.
Thank you in anticipation,
Clare Chandler
